Don’t Miss Asia’s First Sustainable Wearable Art Exhibition

Interested in fashion, art and sustainability? Then don’t miss a new exhibition presented by Wear Earthero (WE), a local art and design fashion brand that upcycles deadstock fabrics from Hong Kong into cool and collectible pieces.

Held from 7-16 January 2022 on Hollywood Road in Central, everything in the exhibition has sustainability in mind, from the fashion items to the exhibition materials such as display panels and stools. To do this, Wear Earthero teamed up with HK Timber Bank to use salvaged wood from all over Hong Kong, including Christmas trees from the recent holiday season.

The exhibition titled “___Reimagined: WE Showcase” features over 20 pieces from two distinct capsule collections for Q1, 2022: “Classics Reimagined” and “Wear Earthero Art-isan Collective.”

Classics Reimagined

“Classics Reimagined” is made up of rare vintage pieces such as Hermes and Louis Vuitton bags that have been hand-painted by local artists.

Wear Earthero Art-isan Collective

On the other hand, the “Wear Earthero Art-isan Collective” collaborates with local artists by giving them a piece of deadstock fabric to paint on, which is then turned into stylish new products such as reversible kimono jackets.

To get your hands on these one-of-a-kind jackets, you can bid on them and their respective NFTs online, with profits donated to local charities J Life Foundation and Green Sense.

Be sure to swing by the art exhibition between now and 16 January 2022 to see all the pieces in person – and while you’re there, why not grab a cup of coffee from CLEAN too?
